Who we are, what we publish, and where this domain has been.
Hardbanding Field Notes is an independent, editorially run knowledge site. We publish in-depth, evergreen articles for drilling engineers, rig supervisors, toolpushers, drill pipe inspectors, welding shop owners.
Our articles explain mechanisms, procedures and trade-offs in plain language. They are general information, not professional advice for a specific project, and they do not replace applicable standards, regulations or a qualified specialist.
The domain changed ownership. We do not continue the business or activities of any previous owner, we do not sell products or services on this site, and we have no commercial relationship with the organizations described in the domain history below.
Articles are written and reviewed by our editorial team and dated. When we revise an article we update its 'Last updated' date.
